Kamal – Will race AFM this year to defend the title, but engine cranks were ruined during a cryogenic process. There’s a back up plan in place and bike should be ready for Keigwin’s weekend I hope. See you there.
Dave
There are riders all over the world that have benefited and got on the podium with my help from remote tuning via the internet. There are hundreds and hundreds of riders domestically that know from their own first hand personal experience that working with me and tuning to their needs works and works well:- from national and club racing down to street riders getting a safer bike to ride and enjoy. I meticulously work with rider’s needs that day to fix their problems and by sharing my knowledge through testing and evaluation with them and through You Tube and other sources to educate the public and increase rider safety in general. That’s been my personal crusade (not marketing) for many years – a motorcycle that will work much better with a rider especially in crisis situations.
The blog is cool
“Because I think compression and preload are the same more or less.”
Where’s my smileyface when I need it?
Of course, what a splendid website and illuminating posts, I surely will bookmark your site.Have an awsome day!
In reply to Skeptic’s post;
I think the fact that with Dave’s help, be it through Dave personally setting up their bike, advising them via email, or from watching the various videos such as the ones within the ‘Dave Moss Unsprung’ and ‘Two Clicks Out’ series, many riders have noticed vast improvements in their machines handling and tyre wear, goes a long way towards proving that Dave does in fact know what he’s talking about when it comes to suspension tuning.
Please take a look at as much of the information Dave has made available online as you can, gain a thorough understanding of this, and maybe try and apply his theories to your own machine before making your final decision.

I first found out about you when you worked on my bike at NOLA, and it made a world of difference. After checking out this site and your multiple affiliated sites, I realize there is a ton about suspension and bike setup that I never knew. I’m amazed that you give all this away for free. Thank you. You are truly an asset to the motorcycle community.
Hi dave, you gave me these settings on you tube for my 60kg(weight) without gear.
forks: zero preload, rebound at 18 clicks out, compression at 14 clicks out
shock: preload at zero, compression (high) at 2.5 turns out, compression (low) at 14 clicks out, rebound at 6 clicks out.
only forgot to list the front fast(blue) compression settings
I applyed those settings, drove the bike on some twisties(road) felt some wobbling but maybe because its with new settings.
Dont know if you can help me with this.. i found that the rear shock low compression(blue) is not working..its like fully turned out but turning the clicks and nothing happens,it just continues to turn.
I just gave a visit to your homepage now, and thanks again for your help
Dave is the best damn suspension guy around! oh, and Jim’s good too! Seriously these guys rock…at their shop and at the track!
Hey man you rock… Thanks for all the years of help and support!!
great website and soo much info, i enjoy your vidios’ with tire and chasis set up, i like the g force load along with all the other info on the screen, just for kicks could a lean angle sensor be added? or possibly braking sensor?
thank you for all your efforts, i look forward to expanding my cranium
Dave’s experience and knowledge are second to non in this field, he makes it easy to understand and easy to apply. Many thanks for the time you spent with me with 10R,
The DVD’s are in my shopping basket
Regards
We could put in a lean sensor – and we just finished that. The question ceomes just how much clutter can there be before the video is compromised with other data?
I would get another stock shock off eBay if the flat head screw is turning without clicking. That might explain the wobble too with no low speed compression damping making the bike chopper itself out!
Dave,
I recently caught your seminar in Queensland. Good God man, you have totally transformed the RC8. I did put the 10mm in the rear as you suggested and it’s sharpened the bike up considerably. I’m not used to it yet, as it’s extremely quicker in turning in than it was before. I’m getting there.
Thank you for your assistance.
Stephen.
